After 7 years of practice and over 25 successful jury trials, Joshua Davis started the Davis Law Group in April 2013. His practice focuses on contractual and commercial litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, personal injury litigation, and appeals. From an early age, Joshua knew he wanted to be a trial lawyer. The lawyer heroes he read about and watched on TV showed how a jury’s verdict allows men and women to prevail over the most powerful interests in society. Over time and during his career Joshua has had the opportunity to see justice done in courtrooms all across the country. These experiences have led to an even greater passion for representing individuals and small businesses in the courtroom every day.

Joshua Davis is committed to being an active member of the Bar. He routinely teaches continuing legal education courses, covering subjects like voir dire, cross-examination of expert witnesses, and how to preserve error on appeal. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association of Justice, a TTLA Fellowship Member, TTLA Board Member, and for the past three years, has served in the role of Vice-President of Finance for TTLA. Additionally, Joshua is a member and board member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, as well as a member of the San Antonio and Dallas Trial Lawyers Association. He has served as a moot court coach for the University of Houston Law Center’s moot court program—teaching law students to hone their skills as appellate advocates and prepare for the courtroom.

Personal Activities

Davis Law Group believes that giving back is of utmost importance. Joshua serves on the leadership committee of Branches, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Houston, as well as being active contributors to Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Center and as Ambassadors of Texas Children’s Hospital. He also routinely donates to the Houston Holocaust Museum, the Houston Food Bank, and other Texas and Houston Charities.
