Katie James Ray is a Senior Associate at Davis Law Group. Katie graduated from the University of Houston Law Center where she served on the Board of Advocates. Today Katie teaches Trial Advocacy as an Adjunct Law Professor at the University of Houston Law Center. Katie’s practice focuses on personal injury, first party insurance, and business litigation. Katie routinely drafts federal and state pleadings, participates in alternative dispute resolutions, and appears before the court on behalf of her clients. In her short career Katie has tried over a dozen cases to Texas juries. Katie was named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2017 and 2018. Katie is licensed to practice in the State Texas. She is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas.

Work Experience & Achievements
Katie has successfully litigated numerous matters involving contractual disputes, insurance coverage, and personal injury negligence cases. Recently, Katie received a substantial jury verdict for her client in a contested car wreck case. The judgment was more than 250% higher than what the at-fault driver’s insurance company was offering.
In May 2017, Katie and Josh tried a car crash case against Allstate. Allstate refused to fairly pay for the damages their insured driver caused. After presenting compelling evidence and testimony, a jury returned a verdict for more than $101,000. Allstate’s highest pre-trial offer was $9,500.00.
In March 2018, Katie and Josh tried a week long jury trial against State Farm. Prior to trial State Farm offered to pay $2,000 to fix our client’s water damaged home. A Bexar County jury returned a verdict for more than $201,000.
